These trips are for people who could happily spend hours watching the world's best golfers hit shots.
This is for people who enjoy walking a championship course, understanding the holes and seeing shots in person that television simply can't capture.
Maybe you're the golf obsessive in your fourball. Maybe your friends enjoy golf, but not quite as much as you do.
With TGT, you don't need to find nine other people to make the trip happen. We do that.
Come on your own, come with a friend or come as a small group. You'll be travelling with people who are there for the same reason you are — the golf.
-
Not at all. In fact, we expect many guests to travel solo.
TGT trips are deliberately limited to small groups, with a maximum of 10 guests on the proposed first trip.
Come alone, with a partner, a friend or as part of a small group. You don't need to persuade an entire fourball to come with you.
We'll bring the group together. Golf gives everyone something in common from the start.
-
The golf comes first.
There will absolutely be opportunities to enjoy a drink, good food and good company, but TGT isn't designed as a drinking holiday by any means.
We expect most guests will be here primarily to experience the tournament, walk the course and watch world-class golf.
Good evenings, yes. Hangovers are definitely not compulsory.
Personally, I chose not to drink at all on trips such as these.

-
Probably not — and that's intentional.
TGT is designed for people who genuinely enjoy watching tournament golf. Our small group size also means it's important that everyone understands the nature of the trip before booking.
For our first trip, everyone who registers their interest will be offered a short, informal one-to-one call with me. It's a chance to talk through the trip, answer any questions and make sure it feels right for you.
There's no obligation whatsoever when this call is booked.

The Gathering is a signature part of what we are offering.
One evening, we'll sit down together over dinner with a guest from the world of golf — perhaps a pro from the area, a caddie, coach, journalist or someone with a unique insight into the tournament we're watching.
-
Absolutely not.
If you genuinely enjoy watching and following golf, you'll fit right in.
I'm extremely into golf. I watch far too much of it and listen to more golf podcasts than is probably sensible — but I'm not the person who can quote every player's strokes-gained statistics.
Equally, if you are that person, you'll be very welcome too.
You don't need to be a golf encyclopaedia. You just need to love watching the game.
-
No. How you watch the golf is entirely up to you.
Some guests may want to spend the day together. Others may want to head off alone, follow a particular player or spend three hours sitting beside one favourite hole.
Personally, I like to use practice day to walk the entire course and really get to know it. During tournament rounds I'll usually mix following groups with spending time at favourite holes.
We'll travel to and from the course together, but once we're inside, the day is yours.
And there will always be someone to meet afterwards to chat about what you just watched.
-
This is deliberate.
TGT is about watching golf properly, and one of the best times to experience a professional tournament is before the cut. Thursday and Friday are great days to watch golf.
We start with practice day, when you can walk the course, learn the holes and watch the players preparing in a more relaxed environment. We then stay for Thursday and Friday, experiencing the first two competitive rounds.
By Sunday, we get home to watch the conclusion of the tournament on TV. Now that you know the course really well, watching the end on TV is a different and much more enjoyable experience.
-
Because bigger doesn't always mean better.
The Majors are extraordinary events, but they also attract enormous crowds. TGT will deliberately look for tournaments where we believe the spectator experience can be better — outstanding courses, world-class players and the opportunity to actually get close enough to watch them properly.
Sometimes that might be a PGA TOUR event. Sometimes a DP World Tour or Women's professional event.
We're choosing trips based on the quality of the golf-watching experience, not simply the fame of the tournament.
We may do The Majors in the future but not initially.

Ten is small enough for everyone to get to know one another, sit around one dinner table and travel comfortably together — while still being large enough to create a great group atmosphere.
Small groups are fundamental to how we want TGT trips to feel.
